Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda is a moving story that focuses on one teenage boy and all of his significant relationships – the boy who is blackmailing him, the other boy who he flirts with online but has never met, and his tight-knit friend group that seems to be unravelling more and more everyday.
Becky Albertalli has an absolute gift when it comes to the YA genre. Her depictions are honest and believable, bringing so much life into her characters. When I wasn’t speculating on the identity of Blue, or getting caught up in the friend drama, I was probably laughing out loud at Simon’s candid internal dialogue.
We would highly recommend this novel for anyone in high school or who love a good YA queer romance that has as much to say about friendship as it does love.
