Holli is a singer-songwriter, worship leader, Sudoku and Skyrim enthusiast, and long time admirer of Xena (Warrior Princess) and dykeblanchett on Instagram. As the overly observant offspring of two Pentecostal pastors, Holli spent the majority of her childhood outside building shelters and preparing for the End Times. At night she would sweep the perimeter of her family home to confirm non-rapture status of her parents and younger sister.
When Holli wasn't starring as The Good Christian Daughter in "Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames", and in real life, she was deeply involved with sports and theatre and voted "Most Enthusiastic" in her senior year of high school.
After being deported from Canada at the criminal age of 19, she found herself in a border-town and, subsequently, at St. Stephen's University where she got to travel the world and be roundhouse kicked in the face by non-literalist interpretations of the Bible. Fast forward 15 years, multiple theological deconstructions and a constructive relationship with her sexual orientation and gender identity, and you have a queer cisgender woman who loves Jesus, cherishes her chosen family, and wants to connect with folks via food, music, and shared stories.
Currently, Holli co-facilitates the Halifax Generous Space group, which is beautifully peer-run and gloriously queer, caring, artistic, and musical.
