We practice generous space at the retreat through Community Groups that bring 5-7 people together to share and dialogue several times throughout the retreat weekend. We intentionally create these groups to optimize learning from varied experiences and backgrounds, giving opportunities to dialogue across difference. Community groups have consistently been a highlight for the majority of retreat attendees in the past, and we encourage all registrants to participate if they're willing. Still, participation is not obligatory.
Our retreat is a chance for everyone to contribute their gifts to benefit the community. Please check below if you're interested in volunteering in any of these areas:
Our standard ticket price assumes you'll be sharing a room with at least one other person. (If you wish to room alone, there will be an added charge of $50 for the weekend.) Registrants are responsible for making their own roommate arrangements. If you need contact info for potential roommates, contact Beth at beth[at]generousspace.ca. (Note: having more than one roommate will, unfortunately, not lower the cost... but will likely increase your chances of meeting more great people!)
You may choose to stay either in a lodge room or a cabin.
Lodge rooms are motel-style with full ensuite bathrooms. You may bring your own bedding, or request linen service for an additional charge of $15 per person (paid at the door).
For a $30 discount, you can stay in a cabin. Cabins have electric heaters and 4 bunk beds. Washrooms are located in a central building with toilet and shower stalls, and you must bring your own bedding.
If you are purchasing a ticket for someone other than yourself, enter their name and email address here. We will send them an email with a link for them to enter further information about themselves.
The early bird rate for the retreat is $225 per person for a shared lodge room, or $195 for a shared cabin. If you would like to attend but this cost is restrictive for you, please fill out this financial assistance application form by Sept. 22nd.
